If you have considered trying yoga, please come and experience a class in our new studio. People of all ages and body types can safely practice yoga and reap the many benefits. All participants are encouraged to honor their limitations and begin where they "are".

Molly Schlangen is the owner of Awakening Grace Yoga and a Certified Kripalu Yoga Instructor and a Yoga Alliance RYT. She believes yoga is a channel for healing and spiritual growth. Yoga practice benefits all ages, body sizes, and fitness levels. "We start where we are, and allow yoga to transform". Molly brings her understanding of the human anatomy and physiology to her teaching. She has worked as a Registered Nurse in the areas of Community Health, Sports Rehabilitation and School Health. Additionally, she holds a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology and is a Reiki II practitioner. Her interests and focus include natural healing while using movement and meditation to help connect the body, mind and spirit.
Nel Norwesh is a Kripalu Yoga teacher and enthusiastic practitioner of vinyasa yoga. She teaches creative compositions of breath, rhythm and flow which honor her students' unique physical abilities and needs. She invites students to explore yoga as a poem woven by the body, allowing breath and posture to serve as a portal into individual experience and divine union. Her daughter Allie is a constant source of inspiration. Witnessing a child's alertness to life's details and passionate physical interplay with her surroundings is a tremendous blessing. Nel teaches children's yoga and creative movement, as well as hula hoop fitness. Nel has been drawn to an extravagant array of eclectic movement throughout her lifetime, ranging from bicycle racing to dance, and various yoga styles. She holds a BA in English Literature and has worked in public education.
Awakening Grace Yoga is proud to welcome Christie. Christie Rice-Pearson began her yoga journey 12 years ago in Santa Cruz, CA by practicing Ashtanga Yoga. She teaches hatha yoga, a style of yoga that attempts to balance the mind and body through physical postures, breathing, relaxation and meditation. Her class is a physical practice that incorporates vinyasa flow, movement with breath and the joining together of active and receptive energy. Christie is encouraged in her teaching by her husband Nate, her son Jackson and her dog Tanner Elvis.
